คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มข. ต้อนรับนักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนจากประเทศญี่ปุ่น เรียนรู้และฝึกทักษะปฏิบัติการด้าน "One Health"
คณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น นำโดย รองศาสตราจารย์นฤพนธ์ คำพา คณบดีคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ รองศาสตราจารย์พัชรา เผือกเทศ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและวิเทศสัมพันธ์ และรองศาสตราจารย์สิริขจร ตังควัฒนา อาจารย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้าน One Health ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ Ms. Nanami Masuda นักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนชั้นปีที่ 6 จาก School of Veterinary Medicine, Azabu University ประเทศญี่ปุ่น ในโอกาสเดินทางมาเข้าร่วมโครงการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการและฝึกปฏิบัติงานวิชาชีพสัตวแพทย์
การมาเยือนในครั้งนี้ นักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนได้เข้าศึกษาเรียนรู้ภายใต้หัวข้อหลัก "One Health" (สุขภาพหนึ่งเดียว) ซึ่งเป็นการบูรณาการองค์ความรู้ด้านสุขภาพคน สัตว์ และสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เชื่อมโยงกัน โดยทางคณะฯ ได้จัดโปรแกรมการเรียนรู้ทั้งในภาคทฤษฎีและการลงมือปฏิบัติจริงในระยะเวลาตลอด 6 สัปดาห์
ในส่วนของกิจกรรมสัปดาห์แรก นักศึกษาแลกเปลี่ยนได้เข้าฝึกปฏิบัติงาน ณ ห้องปฏิบัติการของคณะฯ โดยมีอาจารย์สัตวแพทย์และนักศึกษาจากคณะฯดูแลอย่างใกล้ชิด ซึ่งนักศึกษาได้ลงมือฝึกทักษะทางเทคนิค ได้แก่ กระบวนการเตรียมตัวอย่างเลือดและการปั่นแยกสิ่งส่งตรวจ สำหรับการตรวจวิเคราะห์ทางห้องปฏิบัติการในลำดับต่อไป ซึ่งเป็นส่วนสำคัญหนึ่งของการวินิจฉัยโรคติดต่อระหว่างคนและสัตว์
นอกจากการฝึกปฏิบัติงานในห้องแล็บแล้ว ยังมีกำหนดการเดินทางไปศึกษาเรียนรู้ด้านอื่น ๆ กับหน่วยงานพันธมิตรภายนอก ได้แก่ ด้านการจัดการคลินิก ณ โรงพยาบาลสัตว์ปิยะมิตร ด้านระบบการจัดการดูแลสัตว์ป่า ณ สวนสัตว์ขอนแก่น ระบบการผลิตโคเนื้อตั้งแต่ต้นน้ำ ณ บริษัท สยาม เวท เทค จำกัด (ฟาร์มร้านแก่นเนื้อ) การจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมและนวัตกรรมชุมชนเชิงบูรณาการ ณ ศูนย์เรียนรู้กระนวนเป็นหนึ่ง – KNOWA และยังมีกำหนดการเข้าร่วม The JSEAP One Health Workshop ซึ่งเป็นเวทีการประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการเพื่อส่งเสริม การฝึกอบรมด้านแนวทางสุขภาพหนึ่งเดียว (One Health) ระหว่างญี่ปุ่นและอาเซียน ที่รองศาสตราจารย์สิริขจร ตังควัฒนา ได้รับเกียรติให้เป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญขึ้นบรรยายด้วย
ประสบการณ์การแลกเปลี่ยนนักศึกษาระหว่างสถาบันนี้ นอกจากจะเป็นประโยชน์กับตัวนักศึกษาเองแล้ว ยังส่งผลถึงความร่วมมือระหว่างสถาบันต่อไปในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้ สำหรับผู้ที่สนใจสามารถติดต่อกับกองการต่างประเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น หรือคณะสัตวแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นได้โดยตรงตามนี้

KKU Veterinary Medicine Welcomes Japanese Exchange Student for "One Health" Practical Training
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Khon Kaen University (VM-KKU) officially welcomed Ms. Nanami Masuda, an exchange student from the School of Veterinary Medicine at Azabu University, Japan. The visit aims to participate in an academic exchange program and veterinary professional training.
The welcoming delegation was led by Associate Professor Naruepon Kampa, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, alongside Associate Professor Patchara Phuektes, Vice Dean for Research and International Relations, and Associate Professor Sirikachorn Tangkawattana, a distinguished expert in One Health.
During her placement, Ms. Masuda is focusing on the core theme of One Health, an all-inclusive approach that integrates human, animal, and environmental health. The faculty has curated a comprehensive program combining theoretical foundations with hands-on experiences.
The first phase of the program focused on laboratory training within the faculty's facilities. Under the close mentorship of VM-KKU professors and veterinary students, Ms. Masuda practiced diagnostic and technical skills, including blood sample preparation and specimen isolation, which are critical components in the surveillance and diagnosis of zoonotic diseases.
To complement her learning ambition, the program features extensive experiential learning opportunities at key external partner organizations, including: Work Management in real settings at Piyamit Animal Hospital. Clinical Wildlife Management – Studying wildlife health and wellness at the Khon Kaen Zoo. Agribusiness & Food Safety – Observing upstream-to-downstream beef production lines at Siam Vet Tech Co., Ltd. (Kaen Nuea Farm). Community Innovation – Exploring integrated environmental management and community-based sustainability models at the Kranuan Number One Will Academy (KNOWA).
Furthermore, Ms. Masuda will participate in the JSEAP One Health Workshop, a training platform fostering collaboration on One Health approaches between Japan and ASEAN nations, where KKU’s own Associate Professor Sirikachorn Tangkawattana served as a key expert speaker.
This student exchange experience not only provides valuable benefits to the participating students but also serves to strengthen institutional collaboration, paving the way for future partnerships in the near future.
